The Surf Lodge is located on Gabriola Island in the midst of BC's Gulf Island splendour, yet only 20 minutes by floatplane from either Vancouver airport or downtown Vancouver.

From Vancouver International Airport:
• fly to the Nanaimo Airport and taxi to the Gabriola
ferry terminal (approximately 20-25 minute drive)
• or fly to Silva Bay, Gabriola Island on a float plane
that departs from the South Terminal (Tofino Air)
• or fly to Nanaimo Harbour on a float plane and
walk or take a taxi to the Gabriola ferry terminal
(10 minute walk)
From Vancouver by car:
• Drive south to BC Ferries Tsawwassen ferry
terminal, or north to Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. From either of these locations take the ferry to
Nanaimo and then drive to the Gabriola ferry
terminal located in the downtown area. (approximately 10 minute drive)
From Vancouver on foot:
• Take West Vancouver Express to Horseshoe Bay and ride BC Ferries to Departure Bay, Nanaimo and
taxi
from there to the Gabriola ferry at Nanaimo Harbour
• Greyhound from downtown Vancouver to downtown Nanaimo
